Aries: March 21-April 19
We've known for a while that Wolverine's birthday is in the spring but we just got a clue that narrows it down.
In Wolverine First Class #2 Kitty is trying to get Wolverine to drive her to a Dazzler concert on April 19. To do this she throws him a surprise birthday party (having discovered his birthday in Prof. X's files). This means his birthday is sometime before April 19.
Prior to this all we had was the weather depicted in Logan's birthday fight with Creed when it was first revealed that this had become thir annual ritual. Later we discover that it began with the murder of Silver Fox, also on Logan's birthday. When Logan buries Silver Fox (or Silver Fox II) at the cabin he promises to come visit her every year on the anniversary of her death "when the mountain laurel blooms." It's hard to imagine mountain laurel blooming in Canada before March 21, so that pretty much makes Logan an Aries.
Traditional Aries Traits:
Adventurous and energetic Pioneering and courageous Enthusiastic and confident Dynamic and quick-witted
On the dark side...
Selfish and quick-tempered Impulsive and impatient Foolhardy and daredevil

Great job Mega! After reading that issue I thought about looking it over again for clues, since they mentioned his birthday, but never did and you ended up solving already, again great job, you always but the extra effort in.

Aha! Now that finally explains my attraction to Wolverine. Being a Sagitarrian, it all makes sense now.
And here I thought it was the raw sexuality of an overly muscled, macho man who looks great in shredded clothes while still maintaining his nobility and oozing that wounded warrior mythos. It was in the stars all along.

What's really funny is that if you describe the guy he doesn't sound that attractive. Height: 5'-3" Weight: 295 lbs. Age: 111 Relationship status: widowed and divorced (and every woman he becomes romantically involved with has died violently). Notable characteristics: Mutton chops, back hair, and a haircut so outlandish they couldn't duplicate it in the movies. Personality: severe anger management issues and post traumatic stress disorder. Hobbies: fighting and drinking. Smokes cigars.

lol, wow...that's ah...some description...but also very true...piece that together with some of the artwork that made him look like a scuzzy bum and...wow...that's actually kind of disturbing...but funny.

I forgot to mention that when Logan gets wet he smells like a doberman. So what's the attraction? Well, looking at it another way: 1) He's the macho type, but he a good guy. If you're into the Tom Cruise/Brad Pitt type he's not for you (go see Warren Worthington), but if you prefer Vin Diesel or even Clint Eastwood then Wolverine's your type. 2) 295 pounds = 195 pounds of rippling muscle and the 100 pounds of adamantium he's "carrying" that give those muscles a workout every time he moves. 3) He ages well. He may be 111, but he looks younger than your dad. And 50 years from now he'll look younger than you. 4) Attitude. Confidence is attractive. Logan will stand up to anybody. 5) Sympathy. The more you know about the guy - about everything he's been through and all he's lost - the more you feel for him. It triggers a sort of nurturing response in women. 6) Pheromones. He doesn't need Axe Body Spray. 7) He's the best there is at what he does.

He doesn't need Axe Body Spray. yup, darn Pheromones...lol, unfortunately those who have had sympathy on him...well in hindsight they really need the sympathy...considering most of them are...well...dead... but seriously, that would be incredibly hard. Any normal person would have developed a nervous twitch and a bunch of inner demons, not so great people skills and... oh wait...never mind...

That's awesome although I always thought he was a Taurian (comic sources said that he was believed to have been born in May) however now I think about it he does suit April better and to prove it (though it might be coincidental) his birthstone would be Diamond (having a reputation of being virtually indestructible in terms of gems and minerals) and it has been described as having an adamantine lustre (bit of a symbolic connection to his unbreakable skeleton/claws of adamantium) There ya go, your useless (or not, depends) bit of info about April (Wolvie's recently designated birthmonth) Yo Megalictis, regarding the "macho type" in your post what about Rambo? Heck in my view if Wolvie had to resemble any famous movie star I'd pick Rambo (he's got the look *give 'im a scraggy mullet like they did in a few comics, black/red bandena*, similar attitude and similar situation to Rambo with the whole post traumatic stress syndrome and the wars he's been in)

Rambo is another good analogy given his commando experience. I thought of Eastwood as High Plains Drifter more than Dirty Harry - craggy with a gravelly voice. Trying to find a Wolverine analogy in a movie fictional character is really tough. Take Rambo and Jason Bourne and mix them together. Make him a veteran of both world wars. And a samurai. And a berserker. Now make him go through everything they did a hundred times over; torture him beyond any chance of survival, inject molten metal through his whole body, but never let him die. Then murder every woman he ever loved. Let him watch his friends grow old and die while he just goes on, hardly changing, for over a century. But never give him any peace for more than a moment - just so he doesn't forget what he'll never have. Being the best there is at what he does comes at a price too high for any human being to bear, yet the struggle to be something more keeps him going.

Yeah you've got a point there, it is very hard to picture that in terms of comparing fictional movie stars with the fictional comic anti-heros/badasses. Y'know with all the enduring Wolverine has to go through in his life makes me think he's suited to the element of "Earth" a lot as well. XD (I'm interested with the elements as well)
And I've also found out in the Weapon X: Wolverine novel, Logan's blood type's "O-" apparently.

Well, in astrological terms, maybe Logan has an earth sign ascendant? In terms of Hermetic elements, trying to kill Wolverine is like trying to burn fire.
Type O- eh? There's a band called Type O Negative that has a song called "Everyone I Love is Dead" - kind'a reminds me of Logan.

You've got a very good point there and interesting find on his "bloodtype" too I tend to think his element is Earth dominant. Also in regards to the O- thing I took a look at the Bloodtype Personalities they did in Japan and I couldn't help but chuckle as soon as I read people being in the "O" group: Type O Best Traits: Agreeable, sociable, an optimist Worst Traits: Vain, careless. Y'know I used to think April was a "feminine" month and that but I changed my tune as I read a Wikipedia article on the month and as it turns out it's known as the "cruellest month" according to T. S. Elliot and the name April could've came from the names of Gods/Goddesses: Aphrodite (Aphros), or according to Jacob Grimm from one of the hypothetical heroes Aper or Aprus. I wonder if there's anyone out there who'd like to take a ballpark guess as to what day our fave Canucklehead was born

Type O Best Traits: Agreeable, sociable, an optimist Worst Traits: Vain, careless. Ha! Pretty much the opposite of all five then. It's strange, I love little details like that. These things seem to be a little more easily explored in novels perhaps even than the comics. I loved the part in CC's X2 novelization that revealed his version of Logan's musical tastes. Anybody else read it?
