Ok, I always thought Logan's eyes were blue, and in some thing they are, so why are they sometimes brown, artist's preference or what?

It appears that Wolverine's eyes are most commonly shown as either blue or brown. Personally, I prefer the brown as it makes him look more feral.

I think that Marvel's current stance is that Logan's eyes are black, and reflect either blue or brown - although strangely enough www.marvel.com has it that they are blue.

They just can't decide what colour they really are. Maybe they need someday blue-eyed Wolverine and if they decided he has brown eyes it would be disaster ;D

I personally prefer too brown eyes. Blue makes Logan look too kind. Brown eyes give that feral look to him. =)

While the colouring has been inconsistent over the last 30+ years Logan's eyes are most often coloured brown. They were blue more often around the time of Morrisson's X-Men run because Marvel seemed to want to make the comics look more like the "movieverse" X-Men, and Hugh Jackman has blue eyes. But that wasn't the first time. There was even a point when Logan's eyes were "officially" listed as "hazel" - possibly an attempt to explain why they appeared sometimes blue and sometimes brown.

Yeah, the claws are awesome, (don't get me wrong) but it's that look in his eyes that lets you know what's going on. (Sad, lost, I'm gonna kill you...) Purple eyes just wouldn't 'cut' it. (Plus, I think I'd be laughing so hard I wouldn't be able to see.) ;D

If you look close: Logan's eyes are Green.
