X-Knights was never the name of a series as far as I know, but it is part of the domain name of another Wolverine fan-sife called Wolverine's R.E.A.L.M. It may be that this image is somewhere on that site, thus the implied connection between this image and the name.
As for the origin of the image, I'm afraid I can't place it, though I think I've seen it recently. It may be a promo page from a story that hasn't been released yet. I found the same image in a google image search and right-clicked it to check it's properties - the image was named "wolverine 179." I'm guessing that's more of a reference to the 179th wolverine image on a given website rather than a reference to Wolverine (vol.2 ) #179.

I have those in a comic some where, it came from a nightmare shoot from Wolverine's first run before they went to glossy paper. Those have always been some of my favorite drawing. The dream was about Logan fighting with himself and trying to regain his humanity he felt he lost due to Weapon X brain washing when they tried to bring out his beast to be a killer. Something along those lines. It's an old story I think the early 90s, I could find the book but it would be a while it tucked away in the back of my closet!

Do you have any idea what the title may be? Is part of X-men or part of wolverine's own comics? Anything you remember will be helpful! Thank you! I at least have something to start looking with.
