Here's another feature - www.comicbookresources.com/news/newsitem.cgi?id=12820This sounds like Millar's THE DARK NIGHT RETURNS for Logan. I love Eastwood movies and it's cool to see that this is going to be influenced by UNFORGIVEN. However, I can't escape the feeling that this may be better as a mini-series, and I wonder about the ideas like the Hulk-rednecks that just seem completely random. McNiven is fantastic, it'll be very interesting seeing him drawing an older, grittier Logan considering his clean, smooth style.

Thanks CongoJack - this is the first I've heard of Millar's Wolverine! Looks like 2008 will be a good year for Wolverine fans! This story really is like a mini-series because it's set in the future (out of continiuty). So Millar can go nuts - Logan could die! It's got everything I want most in a Wolverine story with no ramifications and no concern that "Wolverine is everywhere" for eight months. It's almost like professional Fan fiction - except the "fan" in this case is the guy who wrote the hugely popular "Dark Knight Returns" back in the '80's. And given the similarity of the premise he might just do it again with Wolverine.

When I mentioned DKR I was saying that this will be probably be MillAr's version of what MillEr did for Batman. Sorry, didn't mean to mislead.

It's my dyslexia again at least in part. What really confused the two for me was the similarity between "Old Man Logan" and "Dark Knight Returns." Frank Miller's story had a very old Batman team up with an old one-armed Green Arrow (DC's archer) to fight an insane Super Man (DC's strongest). Mark Millar's story has a very old Wolverine (Marvel's "Batman"), team up with an old drug-dealing Hawkeye (Marvel's archer) to fight descendants of the Hulk (Marvel's strongest).
