Yu and Chen are both excellent. Going back further, the first artistic team that drew Wolverine in a way I found appealing was John Byrne and Terry Austen. Between Byrne's expressive line work and dynamic poses and Austen's attention to detail (he's the first inker to render every hair on Wolverine) they gave him a distinctive look. I also admire Barry Windsor-Smith's work on Weapon X in Marvel Premier. The most recent artist I really liked was Darrick Robertson - something appeals to me about his ultra-realistic short-n'-ugly Wolverine.

Darrick's run on Wolverine was one of the best in years.

There seemed to be a lot of people saying Robertson's Wolverine was "too short' or "too ugly." To which I reply, Hugh Jackman was too tall and too good-looking. Wolverine is supposed to be short and unpleasant. It's part of what sets him apart from the run-of-the-mill super-heroes.

I like robertsons was good, but did you notice, that in the beginning he was real ugly and short or hunched and by the end of his run he was cleaner, and stood more upright.

From what I remember from frequenting Darricks forum back in the day, the change in appearance was pressure from Marvel to make him look more like Hugh.

Marvel should have pressured Hollywood to make Hugh look more like Robertson's Wolverine. (Hey, if 'movie magic' can make Elijah Wood look three feet tall...)

No No No people you have it all wrong, Leinil is my fav artist on the planet, however the greatest Wolverine artist is none other than legendary John Buscema, with John Bryne at a close second.
