Give me Jim Lee or David Finch anyday.
As far as covers go, Esad Ribic was one of my favorites.

Thanks origin. Yeah, they're quite nice to look at. He really can capture a side of Logan that few artists can. The out-of-yellow-spandex side, that is.

Realise I'm a bit late on this one, but had to have a say on a few of my favourites.
My favourite Wolverine comes from John Byrne and Terry Austin. Barry Windsor Smith's work is a close second. If you can go somewhere in between those versions, you have the perfect Wolverine.
Other favourites are Frank Miller, Marc Silvestri, Mark Texeira, and Darick Robertson and John Romita Jr (circa Hearts of Darkness).

Simone Bianchi
I think that Marc Guggenheim (writer) & Simone Bianchi (artist) should do a story arc together for Wolverine.

I like some newer fellas on the seen but I really like the old school artist like Jim Lee, Art Adams, Berry W. Smith, And BUNCH others I can't remember at the moment. Mostly I LOVE a person who can PAINT, like the cover of the Weapon X 1 issue, first cover, the name slips me but (Variant? (sp) )THAT's my favorite wolverine look. LOVE the black and gray suit too.
I also enjoy the fine art paintings, the weird way out there works that some people do, sorry can't think of names, not my stronger point, LOL But basically if it's a painting done well Like Julie Bell I would flip! LOVE the paintings.
Oh and FULLY agree Logan is sapos to be Short, hairy, unpleasant, and down right a grump, He isn't meant t o be a pretty boy and he should never be drawn as one. As a woman fan who knows other women fans... WE like him just the way he is because it isn't about a guy like him being attractive and handsome, it's about who he is inside, what he is, and how he deals with things that make Logan a very attractive person. That's why he gets a lot of women's attention, it's the way he carries himself. He doesn't just talk the talk, he lives it.
To me Hue Jackman is Hollywood Logan, fine for the movies but PLEASE don't EVER put him in the comics, it would NEVER fly. he's too pretty, too tall, and his hair is brown, his eyes are brown...need I say more?? It's just NOT Logan.
