Speaking of Logan's hair, was there ever a time when he was a blond? I vaguely remember something about that, but then again I'm probably wrong.

recoiling in horror is an understatement, lol. I remember, it was a really old comic book pic, his hair was long and blond, (now I could be wrong) but it was disturbing, VERY DISTURBING.

but blonde long hair on Wolverine would look stupid Interestingly enough - when John Byrne was first on Uncanny X-Men, he designed a face for Logan, not knowing that Dave Cockrum had already drew Logan's face and hair. The un-used design went on to became the face for Sabretooth.

interesting fact...it worked well for Creed no doubt about that, but i'm glad they went with Dave Cockrum's design.

Yep, me too ;D I mean I'm not complaining how Sabbe's face look like, but I like Logan's face as it is now =) And to the hair question, I think that Wolverine is just that one superhero whose hair is so super too that it defies gravity! ;D EDIT: I mean that this Dave Cockrum could have had a vision of anti-hero/super-hero, and to make that effect more impressive he drew hair which fits to Logan's rough personality.. And his facial expressions characterise his personality really forcefully too. (I know that sounds funny, but I'm trying ;D so please forgive me :

hopefully you're not mixing Creed up with Logan lol just kidding.. No, I know the difference between them...trust me...but what I saw it in was referring to Logan...otherwise, it could've possibly been Creed...Ah! Now I'm confused!!!! Really, all I know is that I saw a youtube slide show of Wolverine, and one showed him, (with blond hair) and a Chinese/Japanese girl sitting on his lap. Whether that was Creed or not I really don't know because I honestly don't know where the pic came from either.

It was probably just a colouring error. Happens all the time.

if you watch the old X-men fox cartoon and watch the episode "Cold Vengence" at one point Wolverine's arms are completely yellow with his suit

I really think that Logan's hair is livin its own life ;D That look is amazing And what about all those manga characters and their hair? Well Wolverine looks really normal compared with them Yeah exactly, check out Yugi Moto (off Yu-Gi-Oh) or to a lesser extent Kai Hiwatari (from Beyblades) their hair would put Wolvie's to shame any day (no offense)

WELL the reason why his hair is in the style it is is because of 2 reasons, One, the designer first created Wolverine with his mask on. he was modeled after a man and the animal, a wolverine. If you know anything about the animal it is a fears scary never say die kind of thing, it's a little power house...and it has ears. So Wolverine's mask also has "ears". Second NOW the time came to remove the mask as see the man. At first Wolverine was met to be a younger guy as a n addition to the Xmen's young team at the time. BUT when they removed the mask the artist was inspired to go in a different direction, and Logan was created, Logan was modeled after Clint Eastwood, But they wanted to make logan MORE than just human, a mutant with a almost different look than a normal human. one idea was to make him 1/2 animal, a wolverine. That idea died as soon as it was hatched. So Again thinking of his name sake, they decided to keep the 'ear' look and his hair was modeled after his mask. This sends a message icon wise that the man in the mask is the same as the man out of the mask. As time rolled by Logan's hair became his trade mark, it' who he is.
