ok, this might seem a little strange, but what's with the Wolverine's hair. Those points are really something, but why...who chose that look? Is it because of the who 'wolverine' thing, I mean, in some pics, they look kinda like dog ears, but there's a few where they look almost a foot long (Probably an exaggeration) Don't get me wrong, I like it, but my question is, how they heck does it stay in place like that, is there a hidden jell bottle we don't know about?

Supposedly Wolverine's hair is very thick and stiff. Think of it as a double cowlick. The original design for an unmaked Wolverine's hairstyle was based on the design of his mask. And wolverine isn't the first to have the "points" to his hair - look at Beast befoer his "Tony the Tiger" transformation, or a Daredevil villain called The Owl. At times the look just becomes ridiculous - almost like rabit ears! I think the first time he was drawn that way was the 2 volume "Wolverine & Havoc: Meltdown." Other times his hair grows out even longer and may retain some semblance of the points (as in Windsor-Smith's classic Weapon X), oher times the weight of his hair may eventually make it lay flatter on the sides. It all depends on the artist. Another curiousity about Wolverine's hair is that when it gets burned off it grows back to it's usual length very quickly, but then continues to grow only at it's normal rate. (Of course it may be that his hair is constantly growing super fast and he has to whip out a claw and trim it between panels).

"Rabbit ears" that's funny...so basically, it's either some weird cow lick, or really bad hat hair from his mask...hmmm. But you might have a point, he may just whack it off every so often...honestly, I can't really see him walking into a barber shop...but it kinda gives him the original look thing. Then again all he has to do is open his mouth and you know there's something different about this guy. Wait...when did his hair get burnt off?

His hair has been burnt (or shaved) off on loads of occasions, off the top of my head - Weapon X, Steve Skroce's Blood Debt, a couple of fill-in issues with art by Darick Robertson in the 90s, and most recently in Astonishing X-Men.

It's a good thing Wolverine isn't a manga character - his hair might have been pink, green or blue!

Best version of Logan's hair I've ever seen was by Barry Windsor Smith. Manages to maintain Logan's trademark look while making it look realistic.
