Warpath has been getting alot of attention lately and people are saying how cool he is and many have compared him to Wolverine. Many fans have said that Warpath acts the way Wolverine used too and that Warpath is basically Wolverine with a different appearance, but others disagree. Well why dont we take a look at the concept art for Warpath by his artist. I think that is all the proof you need, check out the side shot of Wolvie next to Warpath, the artist did in fact base Warpath on Wolverine, further proof is Warpaths new un-breakable-cut-anything knifes. I like the new Warpath, but its obviosly because he is based off Wolverine.

Definitely Wolvie inspired. But how long will that last I wonder? Change of artist and he'll look completely different again!! Artist sounds like he'd really love to do Wolverine instead - hell I'd have him on Origins in a shot based on those visuals!!

I think i remember hearing the writer say that the part was writen with wolverine in mind, but Marvel then cut Wolverine from all X-Men teams except Astonishing and since this story was for Uncanny the writer and artist had to come up with a sub charater. I think they hit the nail on the head, the new Warpath is awsome, but if they wrote wolverine like they are Warpath Wolverine would be on top of his game too.
Way did write Origins and Endings very well and you can see what Texteria did with Ways wrtting, but then in Wolverine Origins Dillion cant seem to capture the dark, intense story and action packed battles.
