I don't think there's much chance of Wolverine leaving this series any time soon. There's no cohesion between the rest of the team without him. His experience at this kind of dirty work exceeds their total combined lifetimes. Who could take his place - Cyclops?
Wolfsbane has experience as a superhero but nothing like this ands she really seems like she doesn't belong. X-23 has nothing but black ops experience (as opposed to a childhood) but she's not really a team player. She's more likely to follow Wolverine than anybody else. Warpath was trained by Cable and would probably just go off on his own to get revenge for Caliban before he'd follow a fifteen-year-old.
Arrayed against these four mean mutants with enhanced senses the Purifiers have assembled a cadre of the worst mutant haters and enhanced humans from the last 40 years. The Nimrod they once used under Rev. Stryker has been "upgraded" - - into Bastion. They recruited the likes of Donald Pierce and the Leper Queen and even resurrected Graydon Creed and Cameron Hodge using a variant techno-organic virus. Now they're trying to revive Magus (New Mutants' Warlock's "dad," not Adam Warlock's alternate future self). I have a feeling the Purifiers are gonna' regret recruiting the help of these anti-mutant artificial intelligences - it looks like they're headed for Phalanx Covenant II.

Thus far it's been a fair read, but I'm only so-so on the art. I must admit, I'll pick up about anything with Logan in it. I even got that series he did with Power Pack. <insert embarrassed smilie face here>

Yeah, the art is pretty but the tones are often so dark that it's tough to figure out who's maiming who.
Wolverine and Power Pack - back from when Logan was doing the whole feral regression trip? (Or did they do it again more recently?) I seem to remember a cool scene where Logan freaks one of the Power kids by screaming "Boku dare?" at 'em (What am I? in Japanese).

Why do I not know...myself?" Logan, Uncanny X-Men #205. Best 'solo' Wolverine story ever!

Title, issue and line (with corrected Japanese) - I'm impressed! Awwww shucks... I'll just add that Jason Aaron, who is writing the Proudstar story in this X-Force one-shot is writing one of the best comics around right now - SCALPED from Vertigo - highly recommended.
