Hi I'm new here and I'm a big fan of Wolverine! I made this thread to wonder which Love Interest of Wolverine is better.
I choose Mariko, even though she died, but I believe in the future she will return to life.

Wolverine's greatest and first love was Rose which has stayed in his subconsoius for all his life, but since you dont have it on your list I'll go with the first Silver Fox.
Silver Fox seemed to give him the most peace as I remember it. They both seemed to fit together. Now when Silver Fox returned as apart of Team X that seemed out of character from the first.
Jean Grey just reminds Wolverine of Rose. Mariko was good but she turned into the clan leader and that seemed to change her to a business woman. Storm and Wolverine both have had there connection but that seems to be because they are free spirited people.

This is a tough one for me for several reasons. For one thing, there are several women who might be suitable for Logan who don't appear on the list.
Rose, his first love, as Mark mentioned, is still waiting for him in the afterlife (if Wolverine #176 can be taken literally).
Another possibility among the X-Men - at least as likely as Rogue - would be Psylocke. She has a wild side and he was the first to trust and accept her after she switched bodies and went all ninja in Hong Kong.
I'll mention Kitty Pryde only because she's the only X-Man who actually proposed to Logan (to try to keep him from marrying Viper) and because of a rumor that Claremont intended to actually have them get married in the distant future. The obvious problem is that having gotten to know her as a kid he'll probably always think of her as a surrogate daughter no matter how old she gets. The same applies to Black Widow, and she's gott'a be in her 70's by now.
Moving outside the team, Electra and Wolverine seemed to have some chemistry, both after his feral regression, and when they took on The Hand together in Wolverine: Agent of SHIELD. And they had a daughter together in the M2 alternate future - remember Wild Thing, the X-23 "prototype?"
Domino also has potential as they have a fair amount in common. We know they've been "intimate" in a "no strings attached" sort of way, but her love for Cable kind'a makes it an unlikely paring.
Moving further outside the team - okay, way outside - I've thought for a long time that Mystique and Logan have a hell of a lot in common. They're both old as dirt, and have a history together that predates the birth of any other X-Man (or almost anyone else). She really seemed like a good match for him in House of M (who's "wish" was that anyway?). Of course the fact that no one can trust her weighs against her.
And of course there's Itzu, his first wife and mother of his only known child. But she never developed as a character and died like all the rest before we got to know her.
Back to the list. I gotta' admit I've been what the fanfic community call a Ro/Lo-er since the '70's. It seemed unlikely to me that he'd fall for Jean - who was clearly committed to Scott - when there was a goddess like Ororo on the team. But shortly before she married Black Panther Logan admitted to himself that he knew he never really had a shot with her. That "What If?" set on the Beyonder's "battle world" from Secret Wars is probably as close as it'll ever come (they had a daughter named Tempest).
Lady Deathstrike and Logan never had any chemistry between them (except in the animated series where she took over Mariko's role to some extent). They hate each other.
Rogue and Logan were never a romantic possibility outside the first movie because of Gambit - and even inthe movie she was more of a surrogate daughter after the Kitty/Jubilee model.
I liked the story of Logan and Mariko and writers go back and forth on wheter he still loves her or Jean Grey. I didn't understand the attraction in the beginning, because they're so different - opposites in so many ways. But Mariko embodies all Logan's "honourable samurai" aspirations, and would constantly serve as an inspiration to him to strive to achieve his goal. He's be a man, not an animal, for her.
Ultimately I voted for Silver Fox because (long before Jenkins created Rose) we've been led to believe she was his first love for over 20 years, and the first tragic victim of the "curse" that's haunted him ever since. Logan still looks back at their time together as the only time he was truly happy and at peace - the one golden moment in his life. (Reminds me of Michael Moorcock's Eternal Champion in his Erekosë incarnation and the Eldren woman Erimizhad). That's why I don't believe the "Silver Fox" of Weapon X was the real deal - she's just some woman with enough similarity to the original for the Weapon X project to have brainwashed her into thinking she was Silver Fox so they could get Logan to work with Creed. (And I suspect "the Native" was also somehow connected since it was hinted - but never shown - that the second Silver Fox had claws).

It is hard of which love interest is best. I voted for Mariko because she was the first girl to ever make Wolverine show his softer side. Also Wolverine first love of his life, before his past love interest were written. She and Wolverine made it to the official classic trading cards.

I want Wolverine to end up with Psylocke, in the end. Plus, I would love it if they retcon it where Psylocke is the mother of Wild Thing, instead of Elektra. I know Psylocke was her godmother, but Rina's powers were the perfect cross between Wolverine and Psylocke's powers. I mean, come on, look. Don't they make the perfect couple?

What you say about Rina Logan makes perfect sense: how could she inherit a genetic mutation that is clearly a cross between Wolverine's claws and Psylocke's psychic knife if her mother is really Elektra? To me this inferrs that Betsy is Rina's biological mother, but that Elektra married Wolverine while Rina was a baby and raised the girl as her own daughter. If the Wild Thing series had continued I was hoping this would eventually be revealed.

Wolverine's greatest and first love was Rose which has stayed in his subconsoius for all his life Now that's what i call falling hard for someone. then agian if you killed the first person you loved...I'm pretty sure it'd turn up and pester your subconscious every once and a while too. Anyway I vote Rose. She took care of him, and he's pretty much only in love with jean because he's drawn to the reminder of his first love. I always thought it would be cool if they brought her back (Extremely unlikely i know) through some kind of plot of Romulus. the writers always seem to enjoy making him miserable and...well so does Romulus. The idea of her being alive and under Romulus thumb all these years would probably kill him. Of course there's the whole issues of how she'd live this long...but hey anything's possible in the comics...right? ;D

I do think of them as a perfect pair ever since I first saw Psylocke. Seeing them together make like this pairing more and now you mentioned about Wild Thing. It sounds good to me, I mean how did Rina get Psylocke's powers, anyway? I even heard her and Wolverine have a strong mutual respect for each other.

Well I like the ones I make up for him... Marvel Kills all his lover, it sucks really, LOL... But if I had to pick one of theirs, I'd go with Maricko, She was who he truelly loved. I can't stand Silver Fox, too many doubts on what she really ment. If Jean wasn't such a tease and so fake, I might pic her because that would make Logan a happy man, lol

Hmmmmm I can't vote. Nope.
To me, each of them have/had their pros and cons, but I'm a hopeless romantic (and let's face it: comic books are romance novels for guys sometimes) and I just don't think it fits to go and say "this one's best or that one", 'cause you don't fall for people that are good for you or do something incredibly great for your advancement or your development. You simply fall. And I guess that's the way I always saw it with Logan.
I have a hit list, alright, but perfectly subjetive and more a feel-right-thing than anything else. Love's not something I like to discuss. And the best thing is: If I don't like what comic books cook up, I simply turn to my own head!

Storm is second best to Silverfox in the poll. I really have hard decision with Wolverine's love interest. My old favorite was Storm. I liked this pairing when I was little, because they have some deep bond with each other. An Animal and Goddess fits perfectly for each other. Also in the 90's animated series the two best episodes "One Man's Worth part 1 and 2" Logan and Ororo were a couple, which gotten in to it the Wolverine and Storm pairing. Also there was a what if comic where Logan and Ororo got married and had a child named Torrent. Also the they were a Romantic Item in Ulitmate X-men. I didn't like how Storm ended up with Black Panther, which made almost lose interest in Storm. Just Almost, I don't read comics that much. Here is this scan of from the Ultimate X-men. That is one of my favorites moments.

out of the choices you popped on there, I'd say Storm is best for Logan because she understands him well and can get along with both sides of him. She is also one of the few who can settle him down when he goes basker rage.
Silver Fox, Not sure she was ever what he remembered so that one is out for me, Marikia (sp) Too short lived to tell, But she was the one he truly gave his heart to and he loved her more than anything. She was his soul-mate. Not sure if she was ever strong enough to stay with him tho.
Rouge? NO connection there, I mean he has more of a connection with Jubilee than Rough.
Jean grey, well she isn't really who he loves, she's just a Rose subitute and I think it's Just Logan LOVING a challenge more than anything else.
Lady death Strike, At one time, maybe, but it was SHORT LIVED, that thing? at this point he's rather see her dead than in his bed.
MY idea would be a woman that can take him , as well as hang with him in every point, fight with him against his enemies as he does for her, Someone tough as nails and understand the world he lives in
Would have to be Domino or even Black Widow, someone like that would work best.
If they did ever have children, I think Logan would have to keep his kids hidden untill they could fend for themselves. Or at least untill the crap cleared from his life for good.

She is also one of the few who can settle him down when he goes basker rage. Yeah this. I mean two of his true loves Mariko and Silver Fox ended up in tragic loss. Which is why I think Logan should end up with Storm, they look inspiring couple. Although Storm ended up with Black Panther. If only I wished Mariko or Silverfox were brought back to life.

What do you think of Spiderwoman and Wolverine as pairing?
