Thanks for the heads-up!
Hmmmmmm... "a character who was off the board for a while" who " knows about Romulus." Psi-borg?

Ooooh! I like that! He'd be the one to know who's behind what. I wonder how dirty Marvel would let Fury get? Guess it depends on what he knows.

Let's see; oh ya: Nick Fury! Because Nick Fury was even involved in WWII. So he has a long history, even for over half a century.
Cyber, Sabretooth, Daken and Wild Child seemed to be his top Dogs.
Mystique (don't know!) Lady Deathstrike (maybe?)
Only time will tell!

Here's another interview with Way: comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=19292This quote: Still, if Daken were ever to come face to face with Bucky, it would be on, like a pair of pants. In my original outline that was actually a big point. Daken was going to go ape nuts and go running right for Bucky. Now since then, Ed Brubaker has cooked up this fantastic 'Captain America' story with Bucky that has really got a head of steam going. And I don't want to knock any of his pieces off the board. So it's something that we've been talking about and something that will be addressed. Whether or not it will take place in 'Origins,' another upcoming project that features Daken, a one-shot, or 'Captain America' has yet to be decided.reinforces my belief that WOLVERINE: ORIGINS and CAPTAIN AMERICA will have a cross-over at some point. Way clearly gets something out of them, and Brubaker has done some of his best work paired with another writer.

Wolverine: Origins #31 proves your suspission correct: Cyber told Fury about Romulus' existence way back before he got eaten by beetles while he was still in SHIELD custody after that mess in Edinburgh. According to Cyber, Romulus was somehow behind Cyber's death (despite Genesis and the Dark Riders actually doing all the work and thinking they were following their own agenda). Perhaps this is paranoia on Cyber's part ("It's always Romulus"), or maybe Romulus actually manipulated the time-displaced son of Cable into attempting to re-bond adamantium to Wolverine.
I think when Way originally planned Origins he didn't know Capt. America was going to die, and he assumed Winter Soldier was as expendable as Nuke. I've also always felt like Daken was originally created to be killed before Origins is through, but Marvel may have seen too much potential in him. Now with Bucky becoming the new Cap' this could potentially set Daken up to be his arch-enemy. Way gives lots of interesting hints in this article. We'll get the whole story on Cyber's adamantium bonding in the next issue. And Weapon XI leading to Daken's own adamantium bonding (or something):
Way's comparisson between Cyber's predicament and Omega Red's leads me to hope we'll see them working together at some point. And I'm also wondering if Wolverine can find enough proof that Romulus was behind Weapon X to convince Lady Deathstrike of who really stole her father's life's work. I've always felt that Yuriko could be turned, that she really didn't want to kill Wolverine - she wants Wolvernine to give her an honourable death.

i agree totally and I think that Marvel has found a way they can have wolverine in more places then one without the crying. They created a wolverine clone with boobs ad now we have daken which is so similar to wolverine already, but now he is using his uniform and getting adamantium, what next cosmetic surgery to fix his middle claw. I hope there not planning a death of wolverine in the near future and have daken be the replacement for the unforseen future (like cap)

Naw, Marvel will kill Wolverine when Ford stops making trucks. Neither Daken nor X-23 can come close to taking Wolverine's place. Even if Wolverine left New Avengers because Daken is in Dark Avengers, and X-23 took his spot in Uncanny X-Men, Astonishing X-Men and X-Force, that still leaves Wolverine and Wolverine: Origins that can't exist without him. And while Wolverine: First Class could go on with Logan dead (because it's set in the past) the upcoming Wolverine: Weapon X series could not.
