Wolverine #55 was supposed to hit shelf in late june and now its late july, so obviously its been delayed but why? here are some of the rumors ive heard:
Is Loeb perhaps so busy he cant keep up and is still finishing the book? its possiable since he is a TV producer and happens to have several projects going on, but he was able to keep all the other books on time, so why the last one?
Maybe marvel wants a bigger build up to what they are about to reveal, since they have anounced a variant by greag land. so there should be a regular cover a black and white cover and a greg land cover.
Maybe its simone the artist who is behind on the art, but again he has not had a problem of delevering before.
Is it possiable that what Loeb had in mind for his big finally, his last issue was scrapped do to negative fan reviews. Thats possiable since most fans dont like the direction the story was going, but i guess we will have to wait and see

I always find it frustrating when Marvel hires a "Big Name Writer" (cough-Whedon-cough) who then lacks the basic professionalism to meet deadlines - or simply impose no deadlined. To be sure I blame Marvel more than the writers. If they want stories from a "Big Name Writer" who can't turn work in on a regular basis then they should be writing stand-alone issues, one-shots and mni-series. That way Marvel can get the whole story turned in before they begin printing and no series gets delayed.
Any word on an updated release date?

Is anyone as thoroughly disappointed with Wolverine #55 as I was? First of all, the last fight between Sabretooth and Wolverine wasn't even a fight. Sabretooth didn't even put up a fight which contradicts his nature. He would’ve gone down swinging. But the more important thing is that the fans would want to see him fight till his last once of strength!
But the worst was the "Most shocking ending in recent Marvel history!"... “The last page will be talked about for some time”… The last page that everyone at Marvel was hyping was uneventful! Nothing was shocking or even interesting about that page. Not to mention that the art for the last page was show in previews. I really think I could have done a better job than Loeb. Loeb is touted as an incredible writer and every single thing he did in this arc was against the "rules" of creative writing; worse was that it didn't captivate the audience! The only reason fans were anticipating the book was because of the art and the hype.
I am very sad to see Sabretooth go, but I am even more disheartened to see him go in such an anticlimactic way.

Wolverine #55. Has been released.
I myself enjoyed the conclusion to the story. What happens is a really eye-opener.
When I saw what happened, this was my reaction.
Wolverine did that holy @#%$!
what he did you have to find out.
And who the @#%$! is this Romulus character.

I am in the middlle with #55 I wanted a blood bath of a fight and through the arc it seemed I was getting it, but the ending was clearly not a fight. Sabretooth was kinda out of his mind so he did not act as normal, but still Sabretooth does not go down with out a fight ever, when has he just given up? BUT, i did enjoy sabs trying to put the arm back on and it kept falling off. I wish thats when sabs went nuts and wolvie would have had no choice but to cut him limb from limb, but sabs givinf up was just as fun no really it was a good book, but could have been better
