Hugh Jackman, who plays Wolverine for the fouth time in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, appeared on NBC's The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Tuesday and revealed insight into his character's appearance. Jackman noted that he was constantly exercising his arms to get a "veiny" animalistic look for the character. He said that in a promotional shoot for the film, he would carry heavy sandbags in the arms, which were later digitally replaced with claws. Jackman also revealed in the early X-Men movies, he was filmed to look shorter than he actually is, but the character's look has evovled to his natural height. In other X-Men Origins: Wolverine news: * Cast members Danny Huston and Dominic Monaghan will be guests on the syndicated The Bonnie Hunt Show next week. Monaghan, who plays Bradley, will be a guest on Thursday, April 30. Huston, who plays Stryker, will be a guest on Friday, May 1. * Liev Schreiber, who plays Sabretooth, will be a guest on CBS' The Late Show with David Letterman on Tuesday, May 5. * Disney XD is tying into the film beginning on Monday with a pair of Wolverine-themed episodes from Fox Kids' 1990s X-Men series at 8 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. all week. Episodes include "Deadly Reunions" and Cold Vengeance" on Monday and "Out of the Past," parts 1 and 2 on Tuesday. * X-Men Origins: Wolverine is rated PG-13.
