Am I the only one who thinks of Spider-woman (Jessica Drew) as a female Logan?
I discovered that Spider-woman is similar to Wolverine because they have similar pasts and both were the most screwed up people in Marvel.
Jessica lost her parents at a young age (as Logan did)
Jessica is manipulated because of her abilities by a secret organization (as has Logan)
Jessica is good at what she does (as is Logan)
Jessica has been assisted by Nick Fury (as has Logan)
Jessica is "one of the most screwed over humans in the universe" (as is Logan)
Both Wolverine and Spider-Woman have a common grudge against Hydra and Viper.
Even the new solo comics of the Spider-Woman she been mentioned about Wolverine many times of how she compares herself to Logan.
This got me to think about them being hook up together.
Anyone else want to see Jessica and Logan hook up?

I can see him with her for a while, but not because she is a female wolverine, tho they may have had a lot of the same BS she really is NOT like him at all. She doesn't have a side to her that will kill with out thought. He has to deal with his natural instincts, he is human but he has an animal side meaning his instinct is not like a normal person's. he isn't part animal by any means but he does have traits that fall under that realm. Like if he gets upset enough, what is is with out thought relation, his "jerk" reaction as it is called. for most it is to yell or scream or tell a person off, for Logan you could loose your head! his jerk reaction is to kill just like a tiger of a wild dog would do. that's the main difference here. Logan needs a woman that can understand that about him, deal with it with out judgment, someone that can love both his sides, the animal doesn't always kill, but he comes out. Logan needs a woman that can deal with that, because I am SURE it comes out in the bedroom too. see what i mean. So the woman he hooks up with has to be able to deal with THAT, his killer side and his human side. She has to deal with Logan knowing his is NOT like any man she ever knows.
Do you think Spider woman can fill these shoes?

I think Jessica can fit into Logans shoes. She can feel all of his pain and suffering he had in the past. Like how Jessica was once used as a weapon from Hydra the same as Logan was used as a weapon from Weapon X.
Since now Logan has lost many women he loved in the past. They not only good lovers but good partners.

They not only good lovers but good partners. I can see your point, but he has known her for a while now and has never made a move on her that I know of. When Logan wants someone he makes it well known. The last incounter I remeber seeing was when she stabbed him with his own claws when he first joined the new advegers and I don't know the whole story but he boldly confronted her in the shower about something and didn't even bat and eyelash at the sight. Doesn't sound to me like they like each other on that level, unless something has changed , doesn't sound like he likes her at all. |

In the new Spiderwoman solos comics, Jessica keeps on thinking about Wolverine and keeps wondering about him. |

Wolverine and Jessica hung out all the time in Madripoor in the days of Patch, wonder if anything ever came of it, I think they also spent some time together in San Fran. dont remember off the top of my head.
I could see them pairiing i guess, they better build the story though, i dont want a storm/black panther thing happening

I remember that clearly Mark, I thought then she had a thing for him but it never seemed to go anywhere... is she shy? Cause Logan would smell her for sure to put it bluntly, there is no reason for him not to go for her if he knew she wanted him, so I don't think she let him know for what ever reason. BUT if she has a thing for him why would she not let him know. Is it because all the girls he love end up dead?? maybe that has something to do with it for the past. Maybe in the future when Logan whoops Romulus and gets Dakin back she will feel safe to be close to him? Or would she even have to worry about Romulus ? Sounds like even if she has no clue of him, if he was behind Weapon X blabla she WOULD have to worry about him even if she didn't know he was real. So there is a LOT of stuff to be dug up for a great story there! besides she IS hot, I don't see why Logan wouldn't want her! lol

I honestly never followed Spider Woman, and back in Madripoor she was just plain Jessica Drew, detective (never wore the costume as far as I remember). And during that period (early on in Wolverine vol. 2 and Marvel Comics Presents) Logan already had a lady in Madripoor - crime boss Tyger Tiger, and I think Jessica knew that. And for all I know Jessica might have been involved with someone else at that time (like I said, I didn't follow whatever she was doing outside of Wolverine's story). If Marvel did decide to pair them up it'd probably be in New Avengers, or maybe a mini-series where they team-up against Viper (possibly tying in to Nick Fury's war on Hydra in Secret Warriors, where Gorgon is still alive and well somehow). That could be interesting.

Logan does need some hot girl and someone to understand him. Since they both have alot in common. They both lost their memories from their past thank to some organization. |

yes true, but that is not enough to make a couple, they both have to like each other in that way, I reamer Tyger Tiger Logan was nutty over her, he even over looked the fact she was a under lord. Then he went and married someone 10 time worse and that pissed her off. She always wanted him he told her no cause they wern't on the same team. Then poof her hooked with stupid Viper. If I recall that was THE last time he ever saw Tyger Tiger her reall name was Jessica too wasn't it? and He first met her when she was 14 if I recall. I really like Logan together with her, she was perfect for him in a lot of ways.

A retcon in the Storm mini series where they met as teens and he was her first love. This led to them getting married about a year or so ago, which seemed forced to many readers, seeing as they're Marvel's most prominent African superheroes. I see it as part of Joe Q's strategy to integrate the X-franchise into the wider Marvel universe.
Tyger Tiger wasn't exactly "nutty over" Logan - more like "friends with fringe benefits" - kind'a like Logan and Domino. I don't recall Logan ever rejecting her advances or Tyger ever wanting to make their relationship more than it was. Her original name was Jessan Hoan (not Jessica, but close).
She first met Wolverine when she was a banker working at the Hoan International Bank (owned by her family) in Singapore - so she wasn't 14 - back around Uncanny X-Men #229 (1988). The original Reavers (before Donald Pierce and Lady Deathstrike took over) robbed the bank, kidnapped Jessan and killed several members of her family. One of the Reavers (Pretty Boy) tried (with partial success) to re-program her mind because they wanted a banker under their control to help them launder money. The X-Men saved her, and Roma (daughter of Merlin) teleported her home. But Jessan's family rejected her out of suspicion (she survived the robbery and left with the robbers, then returned safely). She only became a crime lord in Madripoor while seeking revenge on her predecessor in that role - Roche - who had hired the Reavers to rob her bank in tht first place.
When Logan returned to Madripoor to re-establish his reputation as "Patch" he ran afoul of Roche. Jessan (now going by Tyger Tiger) was the enemy of his enemy, thus a natural ally. And unlike Roche, Tyger refused to deal in drugs or slavery. Installing her in Roche's place both improved Madripoor and gave Logan a base of operations and intel in Lowtown. Together they fought rival crime lord Geenral Coy (Karma's evil uncle), and brought down Prince Baran.
Seeking to exploit the power vacuum in her old stomping-grounds, Viper made a power play to take Baran's throne by marrying the most feared man in all Madripoor - the legendary "Patch." Tyger didn't feel romantically rejected by this - she felt her ally had betrayed her for a "political" rival.

I have a story with her at 14 that same name, who later was known as Tiger Tyger, BUT i do NOT remember what book it is in at all, it was a brief cameo, And I remember Jubs saying not to be afraid cause he always looks like that. something along those lines. If I remember right, i think it was an xmen story.. I don't remember too clearly it was a LONG while ago, but I remeber that name and a 14 year old
