Seems like a good time as any to bring this up, what does everyone feel about Logan being on the New Avengers roster? Please explain your choices!

Interesting question - I'm surprised we haven't discussed this!
I've only half-heartedly been following New Avengers (only regularly since Civil War) for various reasons.
I'm taking the middle road on this (and yes, I caught the Futurama reference). Here's why:
1) I like the concept. Logan isn't the first X-Man to join the Avengers (I think that'd be Beast), so it's about time another X-Man crossed the line and integrated into the main Marvel universe titles (the X-titles are such a clique). His membership growing out of the covert team assmebled in Secret War, and Capt. America's decision to include him both despite and because of his "do whatever it takes" attitude and vast covert ops experience made perfect sense at the time.
2) Post-Civil War: I agree that Logan would be against placing all America's superheroes under the control of the government, because he doesn't trust governments, or bureaucrats, to make moral decisions and not to abuse power.
3) Putting Wolverine and Spider Man together usually makes for some interesting moments.
But...
4) The concept is better than the execution. Wolverine doesn't seem to do much in the book. Either Bendis is afraid to do anything major with a "borrowed" character, or he's forbidden to do so by the editors. (Confronting the Hood solo seems to be as close to the center of the story as Logan has gotten). Either way, Wolverine seems to be a secondary character in many plotlines.
5) I have a personal grudge against Bendis ever since he called Jubilee a "little w____" in an interview. This led me to boycot his work for a year or so.
Bottom line: I think it was a good idea, but I'd like it better if Wolverine had a more central role, and someone else were writing the book.

I hope Wolverine's involvement in X-Force will pull him away from the Avengers' roster... at least it should in continuity, anyway.
Again, Mega has all the right points. I don't like Wolverine in the Avengers because he is such an unused character. It really seems like they added him for the sole purpose of using his name to sell books. Prime example: A Wolverine / Venom symbonite on the cover.

I really like the New Avengers and I think that Logan's presence really adds to the comic. My only issue is that Wolvie is now in a ridiculous number of different teams which is a bit unrealistic

Almost a whole year later, and these are still the main problems with the book, in relation to Wolverine. I'm okay with Wolverine not being the main character in the book, it's set up more for Luke Cage than anyone else, but from the very start it's as if Logan's only been there to sell comics. I'm hoping that he'll step more into the limelight post-SECRET INVASION what with Bucky being firmly Brubaker's character, Spider-Woman getting her own series. I want more Bucky/Logan and Spidey/Wolvie interaction.

In light of the events of the most recent Wolverine: Origins (Daken knows the truth) I expect we'll see more Wolverine/Bucky interaction in that title.

I feel he belongs in The New Advengers more than he does with the XMen. XForce seems to be cool for him. I like the Xmen and all, But mostly kids REALLY like the XMEN and Logan is NOT a kid hero at all in my veiw. He is way too hard core if written the way he was designed.
