Reviews of Wolverine Origins for www.loganfiles.com, by Jesse M. Huertas Grading Guide: Better than Life Itself: It must be in your collection for eternity Definite Read!: A great read from front to finish Not bad, but not great: A decent read worth the asking price Well, it’s not the worst: Only for diehards…even then Where’s my Pistol?: Titles like this make you question your hobby! Wolverine Origins #3 (June 2006) Origins #3 begins with the battle of Logan and Nuke, which could possibly be the most anti-climatic battle ever advertised, wasn’t nearly as brutal as the cover would lead you to believe. It was over quickly and shifted to more backstory of Nuke and Wolverine, while revealing, it leaves you wondering…why do we care about Nuke? Also confusing still is, who are the bit players? The one with the President, “Trevor” and the other man with a gun pointed to the scientists, who are they? What are they after? I’m sure it’ll get answered in the coming months, but still. The end splash page where Captain America is sent in to take down Wolverine at first seems puzzling, so I am eager on that end to see where the Cap stands on this. However judging on Dillon’s poorly choreographed and dull battle with Logan and Nuke, the proposed “Battle Royale” looks to be disappointing as well. Rating: Not bad, but not great by Jesse M.
